Rav4 Cargo Space

Sep 9, 2006 · i bought rav4 with an explicit purpose of sleeping in it. The length of the floor is 177cm (which is a hair longer than xterra and about 5cm longer than liberty). I am exactly 200cm tall, or about 6'4 or 6'5. The threshold between the seats and the cargo area is quite noticeable, so i was concerned when i first tried it. The regular floor can only hold a small load and often breaks.

My two plastic folding bins take up 80% of the space, when in my 06 rx400h (same size rear cargo area) they only took up about 40% of the room back there. Excluding toyota and honda, they have low resale value, so you can get a late model with all the bells and whistles fairly cheap. Before i got the rav, i was driving a nissan quest. If the dual a/c hadn't gone out i would probably still be driving it.
